Seed Saving and Seed Library

Our first Seed Saving program of the year will be at the St. Laurent branch on Wednesday, March 8. Please join us in this workshop that heralds spring and get free seeds from the Ottawa Seed Library. Start Growing Now!

The practice of seed saving and sharing promotes genetic diversity of crops and overall food security. This workshop will provide an overview of seed saving and will include the opportunity to access free seeds through the Ottawa Seed Library. Borrow seeds and return them at the end of the season to keep the seed library growing!  This program is offered as part of the à la carte food literacy project in partnership with Just Food. Funded by the government of Ontario.
