    Share the enjoyment of good books in a relaxed atmosphere.  This group meets every first Tuesday of the month from September 2023 to June 2024. 

    Here is the list of books that will be discussed at each month's meeting.  Click each book titles below to place a hold.

    Join us as we kickoff the 2023-2024 RP Rebel Readers Bookclub at Rockcliffe Park.  For the first meeting our book is "Children of the Fox" by Kevin Sands.

    Click here to place a hold for Children of the Fox for the physical book, eBook or audiobook.

    This bookclub is for kids ages 9-12 and will be in English.  Registration is required as space is limited.

    For our first meeting on 26 Sept at 3:30PM, bring at least one suggestion of a book to suggest to the group to read.  We will create our list of books for the remaining meetings.  

    We will meet once a month, on a Tuesday from 3:30-4:15PM on these dates:

    About Susan Toman

    Susan is published author and recording artist.

    After completing a doctorate at McGill University, fueled by a love of Irish & Scottish music, Susan studied harp basics with Annabelle Renzo in Montreal. She then completed intensive studies with Grainne Hambly in County Mayo, Ireland (and inspired by many castles!). She has performed throughout NA and most recently at the NAC.  Earlier this year she released her second CD, The Castle.

    About Andrew Mah

    Canadian guitarist Andrew Mah is a unique and exciting musician, widely regarded for his virtuosity, versatility, and heartfelt musicality. 

    Born in Ottawa into a family of guitarists, he has performed professionally on classical guitar for more than 26 years, carving out a uniquely eclectic international career as a solo concert artist, chamber musician, teacher, arranger, producer, and adjudicator.

    Celebrate Family Literacy Day 2024 virtually with author Barbara Reid!

    Join us at Rockcliffe Park for this hybrid virtual event with illustrator and author Barbara Reid.  Barbara will show you her unique techniques in using clay to create an illustration, as she does in her books.

    We will provide the clay and tools for you to create your own clay illustrations. 

    The event will end with a Q&A.
