A generation of teen anxiously tuned into CFRA every week to hear Gord Atkinson spin the latest hits and introduce the young rock and roll fans to the hottest new musicians. Gord Atkinson helped launch the careers of performers like Rich Little, Paul Anka and the Staccatos. He was also widely respected by Elvis Presley and numerous other superstars.
The talk will be delivered by Peter Atkinson, son of Gord Atkinson and author of Gord Atkinson. Ottawa's Oldest Teenager: the Campus Years (1954-1967).
