An overdose is a life-threatening medical emergency. Naloxone is a life-saving medication that can temporarily reverse the effects of an opioid overdose, while waiting for 911 to arrive. Being able to recognize the signs of an overdose quickly and having a naloxone kit can save a life.
Join Ottawa Public Health nurses for this 30-minute virtual information and training session on how to identify and respond to an overdose, including how to administer Naloxone, followed by a 15-minute Q&A. Information on how to obtain a free kit will be provided as part of this presentation.
This is a hybrid program. The presenter is remote and will be on-screen in the meeting room. This is a drop-in event.

120 minutesThink about all the data on your PC; videos of the grandkids playing in a park, photos of your trip to Patagonia (lucky you!), tax records, emails… Now think about whether those files exist anywhere else. If the answer is no, you need to think about backup. You could lose data due to viruses, fire, theft, tornado, hard disk failure, making an unintended change to a file, or a wayward finger deleting a file.
Chris Taylor, President of the Ottawa PC Users' Group will discuss various ways you can ensure your important data survives any catastrophe.
