    Join Uncle Leo for a special storytime in honour of National Poetry Month! Kids 4 to 8 will discover the magic of poetry through two books by Kalli Dakos, Our Farm in the City and Recess in the Dark, and enjoy participating in simple rhyme and rhythm activities.

    Stories and child-centered learning stations focusing on foundational concepts of letter recognition, numeracy, colors, shapes, measurement, rhyming and retelling.

    Ready for more than conversation? These 4-week module classes will help build on your English language skills. Beginner and Intermediate sessions. Each session's registration will open three (3) weeks prior to the first class.

    Choose your art supplies and get to work creating the most hideous work of art you can. Once everyone has finished creating their amazingly abominable artworks, you'll be invited to show off your pieces in a short 'exhibition', where the Best Bad Art will be decided. The winner will leave with a trophy and the respect of the fine art community. 

    Join us in a fun, tacky, and no-pressure type atmosphere with good conversation and refreshments.

    This guided interactive and participatory drumming experience focuses more on fun than form, and is for anyone that has wanted to learn basic hand drum patterns and share in the joy of group drumming.  No experience is necessary- just bring your rhythmic spirit! ​

    Optional - your own hand drum (djembe, bongo) or rhythm maker (i.e  empty coffee canister) There will be some extra drums and rhythm instruments available for use.​​

    Note — please bring your own foam ear plugs or noise canceling headphones if sensitive to sound. Masks are optional, in keeping with current OPL policies. ​
