Club de lecture RD 

La succursale Ruth E. Dickinson invite les francophones et francophiles de Barrhaven à se joindre au nouveau Club de lecture RD.  Participez à nos rencontres sociales et discutez de livres de langue française.  Profitez aussi de présentations de nouvelles oeuvres, auteurs et des services disponibles aux lecteurs francophones et francophiles de la BPO. ​

Practice your English conversation skills in a low-pressure, friendly environment. All levels are welcome. 

Do you need help with your tax return? If you have a modest income and a simple tax situation, trained volunteers may be able to complete your tax return for you for free. Ottawa Public Library is partnering with the Canada Revenue Agency to offer free tax preparation through the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program.

The Ruth E. Dickinson branch will be offering free tax clinics in English on a first-come, first-served basis. 

Before arriving at the free tax clinics, you must verify whether you meet the Canada Revenue Agency’s eligibility criteria and ensure to bring the appropriate documentation with you. Our volunteers will not process self-employment or business taxes.

Learn about advances in robotics, smart mobility, and other next-gen technology from researchers, industry specialists, and local students. Check out STEM resources offered at the Library, and see OPL’s very own electric powered BiblioBike.

In collaboration with Area X.O operated by Invest Ottawa, InDro Robotics, Algonquin College Robotics and Automation Program, and local school robotics clubs.
