    Join us for a presentation by the Ottawa Police Service on fraud awareness and learn how to protect yourself. 

    Discussions will center around:

    • Types of fraud to be aware of
    • Red flags of potential fraud
    • What to do if you are a victim
    • Removing the stigma from victims

    This program will be held in partnership with the Manotick and Area Centre for Arts and Wellness (MACAW). 

    Program will take place at MACAW, 5567 Manotick Main Street (Manotick United Church).

    Presented by Dying With Dignity Canada (Ottawa Chapter), End of Life Options (including MAiD) is a workshop to educate people about the options available to mitigate or end suffering at life's end, including palliative care, treatment options, and Medical Assistance In Dying (MAiD). Workshop includes the current legislation on MAiD, the process for applying in Ontario and explanation of the experience by a loved one.

    Registration is required as space is limited.

    Teams of two teen volunteers will share their technology knowledge with one older adult per session.

    Volunteers will help older adults with basic use of devices such as laptops, tablets and smartphones. Some subjects that can be addressed include internet applications like browsers, email, calendars, social media, games, and file and photo management, such as Google Suite, OneDrive, and iCloud.​

    Register in-branch at the 2nd floor hub.​

    Un café mortel, c'est une rencontre où on discute de la mort. Notre but est d'aider les gens à être à l'aise avec l'idée de la mort et leur finitude. 

    La bibliothèque publique d'Ottawa (BPO) offre ce programme en partenariat avec l'association "Home Hospice Association".

    An open house for persons with dementia, their care partners, and families.

    Fun and stimulating mental activities are planned to enhance the social interactions and the connections that are built within the group. Light snacks and warm drinks are served alongside items that aim to spark conversations and reminiscing.

    First Thursday of each month (starts in May 2023). 1-3pm.
