  • Earning Income

    Do you have a modest income and/or a simple tax situation? Our community volunteer may be able to help with your tax return. Elmvale Acres will be offering free tax clinics in English that operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Add your name to the list at the front desk and you'll be called in to meet with our volunteer when it's your turn. ​

    Our volunteers cannot process returns that deal with self-employment, investments, rental income, bankruptcy, business taxes or foreign income. They may refuse anyone that does not meet the eligibility criteria.

    Avez-vous besoin d'aide pour préparer vos impôts? Si vous avez un revenu modeste et une situation fiscale simple, des bénévoles formés pourront vous aider à remplir votre déclaration de revenus et ce, gratuitement. La Bibliothèque publique d'Ottawa collabore avec son partenaire, l'Agence du Revenu du Canada, afin d'offrir ces comptoirs d'impôts gratuits grâce au Programme communautaire des bénévoles en matière d’impôt (PCBMI). Ces dates sont en anglais seulement.

    Share ideas and expertise or learn from your fellow enthusiasts. Or simply bond and make friends over common hobbies. For teens of all abilities. Drop-in program.

    *Extra supplies available on hand for: drawing/colouring, origami, scrapbooking/collage, sewing, knitting, etc.

Make it as bizarre and ridiculous as you wish. At the end of the night, you will get to judge your fellow artists’ work and decide which is the worst!

    Join us for our red selection for the Month of Colors with a free screening of Red Rocket. The film was directed by Sean Baker and was released in 2021. The screening will take place in our auditorium, starts at 6:00PM and is free to attend.
