    Accueillez quelques-unes des poules du Musée de l'agriculture et de l'alimentation du Canada dans votre bibliothèque!  Écoutez-les caqueter, touchez leurs plumes douces et regardez-les gratter et picorer. Grâce à des activités éducatives amusantes, les élèves explorent les caractéristiques, les besoins et le cycle de vie de ces favoris de la basse-cour. Programme familial pour les 4+ ans.

     Activities will include making googly-eyed creatures out of yarn.

    Join us to create your own alien monster and the spaceship they rode in on! Registration Required. For ages 4-9.

    This is the same program being offered at Beaverbrook and Hazeldean Branches for ages 7-9; and at Constance Bay and Fitzroy Harbour Branches for ages 4-9.

    Registration opens on Monday, June 10, 2024 - 10:00am

    For this program, Parrot Partners will bring at least 3 parrots, from different areas of the world, ranging in size from very small and ‘spunky’ to massive and ‘mellow.’  We introduce each parrot, one at a time, and share interesting and entertaining facts and stories about their natures and lives in the wild and in our homes.   Participants will be offered the opportunity to give our parrots a treat or drink from a safety cup or feeding skewer, as well as pose for photos with the parrots. Family program for ages 4+.

    Stories, songs, puppets and crafts for children ages 0-4, accompanied by a parent or caregiver.

Through a series of fun challenges, participants will learn about the celestial objects and phenomena that can be observed with our own eyes or with the help of a telescope. Ages 8-12.
