    Learn the basics of using a sewing machine and craft your very first project: a drawstring bag. This two-hour session will take you through the steps of setting up, threading, and using a sewing machine. Registration limited to 5 spaces.

Experience the allure of Yue Opera, as graceful movements and operatic voices bring the tale of Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai to life. This special occasion also features an English narrator to guide you through the story, followed by an interactive discussion. 

    Join us for an hour of unforgettable experience celebrating the magic of storytelling and Chinese heritage during Asian Heritage Month.

    Learn the basics of using a sewing machine (including safety) and sew your own book bag to keep! This program consists of four sessions over a two month period. *You must be able to commit to all four sessions.* All supplies will be provided. Required skills: • Ability to follow instructions, to work independently, and to wait patiently for assistance when needed • Can safely use sewing implements with minimal supervision (needles, seam rippers, and sharp scissors) Ages 9-12 years old.

    Drop-in to meet one-on-one with an Employment Counsellor from the Pinecrest-Queensway Employment Services team.

    Sessions will be held in study room number 1 on the 2nd floor of the library while the elevator is under refurbishment.
