    Learn the basics of using a sewing machine and craft your very first project: a drawstring bag. This two-hour session will take you through the steps of setting up, threading, and using a sewing machine. Registration limited to 5 spaces.

    Do you have children ages 5-8?  Would you like them to read more?  Then join our weekly Reading Buddies program.   Each child will be paired with a teen volunteer for fun and interactive read aloud sessions.  Together they will share the joys of reading in a friendly, encouraging and enthusiastic environment.  Registration required.

    Join a band of adventurers at the seaside town of Dragonsbourne. This is a one-time, side-adventure. It is part of the continuing, campaign-setting of Dragonsbourne and its surroundings. This game is intended for teens who have played D&D before, but beginners are also welcome. Please bring a 2nd level character and dice. Pre-made characters and dice will be provided for those who do not have their own.  This game is intended for ages 13-17.

  • Cover book Animal Farm, Crows and pig mask

    Join us at Rockcliffe Park for a new program and unique opportunity to experience George Orwell's classic book "Animal Farm".

    In a group setting moderated by playwright and teacher Maeve Damico, participants will select one of 16 characters from Animal Farm.  Together the group will read their lines to experience the story in a new way.  The script will be sent in advance after registration.

    This is not about acting or public speaking. In fact, no experience or rehearsals are necessary.  It is a 2 hour event, including a break. 

    Adult.  English. Registration is required as there is limited space.

In this online event presented by Ottawa Public Library, Joe will explore Indian recipes, spices, and other ingredients through a cooking demo in his very own restaurant, Coconut Lagoon.
