Some in-branch programs require registration with your library card. Please log in with your library account or follow this link to apply for a card online. You can also apply for a card in person at any of our 33 locations.

    Stories, rhymes, and songs for children ages 0-6 accompanied by a parent or caregiver. Registration recommended. Please only register as many spots as there will be children attending. 

    The first half hour will be an interactive storytime program. During the last half hour, we will explore activities like planting our own “magic” beans! Come dressed for a messy craft.

    It’s time to divide your perennials and rejuvenate your garden!  Bring some plants, take some plants, and borrow some gardening books.  Please remember to label all plants you bring in.  

    Drop by near the Centennial branch main entrance any time between 10am and 7pm on Wednesday May 22.

    This Spring, the Ottawa Public Library is offering free drop-in Storytime programs at the Hunt Club-Riverside Community Centre on the second Friday of every month. Come and join us for some fun stories, songs, rhymes and dancing! The Friday Storytimes will begin at 11am, and will run for 45 minutes. 

    Ce printemps, un vendredi sur deux, la Bibliothèque publique d’Ottawa offrira l’Heure du conte en famille bilingue au Centre communautaire Hunt Club Riverside. Ces programmes commençeront à 11h, et dureront 45 minutes. Joignez-vous à nous pour des histoires, chansons, comptines et danses amusantes pour toute la famille!

    All supplies will be provided. You can follow a suggested template or create your own masterpiece. Drop-in program. Welcome to all ages

Experience the allure of Yue Opera, as graceful movements and operatic voices bring the tale of Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai to life. This special occasion also features an English narrator to guide you through the story, followed by an interactive discussion. 

    Join us for an hour of unforgettable experience celebrating the magic of storytelling and Chinese heritage during Asian Heritage Month.
